The Largest of the Lightest
The Hornet OSMO 3P Tent is NEMO’s lightest, most packable 3-person tent. The upside of backpacking with a 3-person tent, apart from camping with a company of three, is all the extra space, but the downside is a heavier weight and more packing space. Compared to the Hornet OSMO 2P, this 3-person iteration is only less than a pound heavier and takes up about five more inches of packing space. A couple inches and ounces are certainly worth hiking with so you can stretch out a bit more when you’re only trekking in a group of two. As with all NEMO backpacking tents, the Hornet OSMO 3P was recently updated with a 100% recycled OSMO fly and floor for greater water-resistance and less stretch so the fly doesn’t sag onto the mesh canopy after a heavy night of rain.
